Following in the footsteps of last year's thread, what arcade or arcade related gifts did everyone get?
I was surprised with a Pac-Man cabaret/mini bezel that my wife looked into printing with a local graphics shop.
She knew I was "restoring" an after-market Pac-Man style cabaret made by a Quebec-based operator (circa 1986) to house an Arkanoid.
Given that Pac-Man is more iconic for arcade guests, and the fact that the cab was based on the Midway design, I decided to "convert" the cab into a Pac-Man themed machine. I wasn't aiming for perfection since the cab itself was not an exact duplicate of the Midway model -- but close. My wife opted to get a bezel insert for under the plexi. Combined with other alterations I made with a minimum of fuss, I liked how it turned out.
And in Ontario, the Lottery Corporation sells arcade-themed scratch-and-win lottery tickets. She gave me Frogger!
But no moola!
