Arcade Board Games..never had any myself

I had the Pac-Man and the Q-bert ones a while ago, I gave them to a friend though, the Pac-Man one was really fun, my Q-bert one was pretty destroyed so I couldn't really play it.

My aunt and uncle had the Frogger and Donkey Kong games. I played them but don't remember much else. I was pretty young.

The Q*bert one wasn't made very well. The playing board wasn't much more than thin paperboard. It was fun, though. So was Pac-Man. I don't know what ever happened to either of them, but the Pac was pretty worn when I was done with it.

My buddy snags these at flea markets as he finds them. There are a few more than the ones in the link, including Defender.

I figured they were for the kids who's parents said the Atari was going to ruin the TV. I know I fought that battle as a kid. The panic of Pong burn-in from the original paddle games didn't go away easy.

I always thought these were kind of cool. I had the Pac-man one when I was a kid. I found Popeye at a second hand store (unused) a few months back.

I really should compile a list of all of the Arcade board games as I'm not 100% sure how many different ones there were.

As a kid we had Zaxxon and Centipede.
My folks bought them cheap at a junk auction. It was me and my brothers video game alternative.
We weren't well off when I was younger, and after watching me have a complete game of PacMan at Winky burgers in about 25 seconds, my mom decided it was a waste of money.
My dad would sneak me a quarter every now and again - but each time is a memorable occasion.
I was the kid at your Chuck E Cheese birthday party with fifty cents. I learned real quick to check the coin return for quarters.

I have a few in the ebay basket, but just can't pull the trigger. More stuff that just wouldn't get used.

After looking at the posts here and doing a few google searches, I've compiled a quick list of classic video game based board games. Not sure if it is complete or not. My guess would be, it is not complete. Here's the list:

- Arcade Mania (MB)
- Berzerk (MB)
- Centipede (MB)
- Defender (MB) & (Entex)
- Donkey Kong (MB)
- Dragon's Lair (MB)
- Frogger (MB)
- Jungle Hunt (MB)
- Invader (Entex) [meant as "Space Invaders" but never got licensing]
- Ms Pac-Man (MB)
- Pac-Man (MB)
- Pitfall (MB)
- Pole Position (PB)
- Popeye (PB)
- Q*bert (PB)
- Super Mario Bros. (MB)
- Turbo (MB)
- Turtles (Entex)
- Wizard of Wor (Ideal)
- Zaxxon (MB)
- Zelda (MB)

I put Arcade Mania on list since it is more or less a generic arcade game based board game. The makers mark is in the ().
