What is a story about something you got at auction?

Mine isn't too bad because the item I got was free but still wasted my time. I was THE last guy out at the past auction back in December. There was a monitor laying around so I asked and they said I could have it. It has been sitting around for awhile in my warehouse so I took a look at it today and 2 different repair compaies are listed on it saying the green gun is dead. Tube reguvinator won't even do anything to it. So all I did is haul out some trash for the auction company. Any stories of bad gets or bad buys?

at a SA last summer I got 2 giant snack vending machines for $5 each, loaded them myself, gutted a few parts when i got home, went to scrap yard and got $220 for the metal

I recently picked up a primal rage and Soul Caliber 2 for $50 each. They were fully working in super nice cabinets with beautiful 25" monitors. A local klov'er picked up a multi-williams in a 25" cabinet with full artwork for $200 at the same auction.

well, the only auction i've been to was the longmont co one they had on 11-15-08. man, it's been three years. but anyways, didn't have enough cash to buy any games, as old people were out in full force buying pins and all the prices were pretty ridiculous. but, saw a cool antique national cash register that i thought i'd get for my in laws for christmas.... ended up bidding unknowingly against fellow klover vespertillio (fred) for it, and he ended up getting it. he didn't want it, as he thought he was bidding on a neon sign, so i ended up buying it off him...
