If those are the prices those games went at, then all I have to say is: I knew I should of drove out there! Damn now i'm going to kick myself for weeks on end for not going after that Crusin..

Well that's the second one within my reach that I passed on... I guess if I'm lucky enough to find a third one close enough to buy I should go after it..

They gave everyone copies of the games list? That's nice of them, though I wish they'd posted that on their site. Fortunately, nothing there that would have enticed me to forget my bad back!

They had xerox's [do people still say xerox meaning copy?] of the catalog for each bidder number they gave out. At least they did at 9am, I was in the 20s, maybe bidder 200 didn't get one.

Thanks for posting the results. I am three hours away and drove 14 hours yesterday, so didn't feel like sitting in the car any longer... most of the driving games went for what would have been close to my limit, probably better that I didn't go... someday I will own a sit-down driver...

Darn, didn't know about this one, or I would have gone to it.

There were a couple things I would have picked up... Would have looked at the flooring as well. I would have spent way too much money... maybe it is a good thing I didn't know about it. :)

There goes that money you weren't going to spend! :)

Preview Night

So, anyone (other than me) go out and check out the games in Greenfield for the preview for tomorrows auction?

Just wondering if this is the same quality of games seen at other auctions lately? It's been awhile since I have gone to an auction with games, and realize that both me and the games are getting older, but was supprised at the quality, and was wondering what others thought.

Some notes.

Hello. I went too. I got there about 6:30. Here's a link to some pics I took, I encourage anyone to grab them and take a look.

I thought overall the condition was "ok". I would encourage anyone interested to take this with a grain of salt, I will be at the auction and might bid on any of them. These are some notes of things that would take away from their value.

Tron - Monitor didn't work and wasn't powered up. The fellow said it did work but there was a problem after it was on for a bit and they "smelled smoke and turned it off". Side art only on one side.

DK - The joystick could use a rebuild, it was hard to go up I thought. No side art.

Neo-Geo - Reset while I was playing it, not sure if I rocked it, maybe it has a loose connection? Monitor had some color separation in the bottom left corner and appeared to be slightly shifted to the left.

MK4 - Monitor issue where top of screen is "taller" than the bottom of the screen. In other words, two items of the same height in the game were different heights on the screen.

Pinball machine - Would power on, make some noise and some lights came on but you couldn't play at all. Every time you pressed the start, it would power off. The fellow said that it had worked previously when they brought it in. He thought the power supply might be weak. The score keeping area was completely offline and he said it wasn't working when they were playing it earlier.

Red Tent - Looks a little rougher than the pictures show I think, did not see keys and couldn't coin it up. Someone was playing duck hunt (they said they put in a quarter) :) I didn't see the fourth joystick the gun took the place of.

Gridiron - Not powered on, not plugged in. Door was off machine but sitting to the side.

Bad Dudes - Could coin it up, but the darn 1up and 2up buttons wouldn't work. Could just need a cleaning but might need some TLC.

Swords - I had to coin it up and hit 2up a few times to get it work. I would say it needs a cleaning.

Lethal Enforcers - Screens colors were "faded". Player 1 gun worked well. Player 2 didn't seem to work as well.

Sounds like we just missed each other then. I just live a few blocks away and rode my motorcycle over to check it out. There were a couple things I was interested in, and based on the initial pics figured they were in better shape than what I saw in person. When I got home I pulled up the pics online to see if they were taken there, or were older pics, and was supprised they were taken there. I had been up in Muncie looking at some games a few weeks back that were in really good shape, so that was what I was comparing them to.

I'll probally show up tomorrow night and see if anything is cheap may bid.

A couple of prices.

So I typed my notes on the prices in and then promptly hit something and lost them all. A couple I think I remember correctly.

Pinball - 425
Tron - 775
Red Tent - 350
GridIron - 50
