For the past 7 to 8 years I have been having dreams about going to arcade auctions, seeing machines I never seen or heard of before. Whats worse is that I never get to bid on any of them.

Just this last night I was dreaming about auction where there were several cocktails, two of which were a minty Joust CT, and TrackNField CT that I knew were going to go for cheap. Of course I woke up before bidding on the cocktails started. They always spend hours auctioning off that misc. crap.

Am I the only one who has dreams like these. I can't be the only one.

You should dream about the Dallas SuperAuction... They almost always start with the cocktails. ;)

my dreams are always really screwy, like i dropped acid and went into an alternate dimension before my sleep.

edit : and the other ones involve me hating my dad and his wife, as they're truly d-bags.

Oh god I hate those dreams where you can't move. Some of them involve thinking you are awake and you can't move. Jesus I hate those.

I dreamed last night that there was a Burger Time for $200 around here that I couldn't afford. Burgertime isn't high on my want list, but I'd probably pick it up at $200. Actually, right now, if a machine that I wanted came up for sale for anything more than $50, I wouldn't be able to afford it. My collection won't be growing for some time yet.

Those aren't dreams at all. Like mentioned above, it's called "sleep paralysis." It's basically where you are fully conscious, but your muscles are still locked up (as they are when you are sleeping) and your brain is still processing the dreams, which come off as hallucinations. Creepy stuff, I had one a couple of years ago.

Anyways, back on topic. I have never actually had a dream about an arcade auction, but I did have one where the Videotopia exhibit actually came to my house and set up all the games there, but an invisible barrier prevented me from going down the stairs to play the games. Man I was angry when I woke up!

Mine usually have something to do with the horizontal bop... I ALWAYS wake up just as the action is getting good too! :)

The ones closest to me have always been http://www.usamusement.com/calendar.html, but I am not sure if they are still in business. Super Auctions was almost in indy one year, but they canceled the day of the auction.

unfortunately the rest of my dreams take place in some sort of post apocalyptic setting, or they are about me forgetting to attend some college class for a whole semester with me realizing this on the day of the final.

Sometimes I have dreams playing a first person shooter in REM sleep, and I wake up in the morning and my eyeball muscles are completely strained and it feels like I have a hangover. Why can't I dream of playing a more classic game.
