Arcade art question

Atari is good but it has a very ad agency, too perfect clean line look. Nothing beats bally/midway/williams. Way more character and grit.

Love the backlit disco ball thing.

And both games are great. Not just eye candy!
 
I feel like the artwork is the carrot that gets someone to walk up to the game, followed by the game demo. If those worked, then you started inserting quarters.

Some games, such as DK CT, feel like vendors phoned in the artwork part. So ugly compared to what they could have done.
