Just investigating to see if I am the only one..........

I purchased 3 reproduction Tempest spinner knobs (www.arcadeadventures.com) which were received on 09/16/2017. I installed one and although the knob spun correctly, the "skirt" (flat plastic around the knob) was way off center and wobbled very badly. Tried the others and 2 of the 3 were defective and needed to be returned.

I sent well over half-dozen e-mails requesting to return the defective spinner knobs and finally in November (!) I received a reply that there was a "communications error" and Diane would accept the return. Using a return label, they were sent back and after checking the tracking #, I confirmed that they were delivered to Arcade Adventures.

I have sent another half-dozen e-mails since then, with the delivery receipt attached to a couple asking if they received the return and to please get back to me with the return status and to date, have not received a reply.

I have been very patient and have tried to resolve this privately but at this point it looks like I am out the spinners and the money as well.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this company?

Thanks for listening.

Jeff

I assume that all the spinner knobs I bought are from the same guy/batch, pretty sure it was him. I have these on my Warlords cocktail and can't really see a problem there, but installed one on Tempest yesterday and it is sort of annoying how much it seems to be spinning around a point slightly off from center.

I ordered some EH width coils from them back in November and never got them. 1st email to them was ignored, but the 2nd was answered and said they were on back-order and did I want to keep waiting or want a refund...

The mold was made from an NOS piece. There are bound to be variations in the final product. We hope there would not be, but when thousands are made, there may be a variation. We have sold over 2 thousand spinners and this is the first time we are hearing of any problems with them.
We are working on rectifying the problem for you. (Please see your email with further explanation, as I would rather that not be posted here)

Just want to throw in my 2¢ in that Arcade Adventures is an awesome site that I've ordered plenty of things from over the years with no trouble.

Great stuff, great prices. Hope everything worked out ok for ya.

I have a few dozen NOS knobs and even some of those are "off center" when spun really fast. Back in the Atari days they made these for commercial use and probably never checked them for off center. Now if they were made to a MIL spec, that's a different story.

Glad it was taken care of.
