Hi everybody, I just picked up an english mark darts Arachnid Super Six Plus II dart board. It came with out the original monitor and a small LCD screen was in it's place. It worked fine for a while, then the video signal cut out. I tried a different RCA cable and checked that the screen works on another system and it does, so the problem is in the dart board.

Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks,
Sam

Yeah sorry. The monitor IS getting power from the cabinet. The monitors screen is on, but no signal. Thanks!

Just checked my manual and for "no video display" it says this:

a. No 12V to monitor - Check 12V regulator LAS1612 for 12VDC or plug in external modulator. If external TV works through modulator, then main board circuitry is OK. Problem is with monitor or 12V regulator.

b. Transistor TR1 bad - With an oscilloscope check output of TMS9118 for about 1-1/2V P-P video signal. Then check for same at center connector of video jack. If not present, replace TR1(2N4400). TR1 is used as a buffer for the TMS9118 for protection againse accidental shorting.

I am looking at picking up one of these as well. What does it say about the left side of the board not registering dart hits?

theres two identical chips on the board next to each other, at one side of the board.. i think those have alot to do with video, i had to replace them on mine back in the day...

Great, thanks everybody for the info. I really don't have much experience with electronics, although I am really handy so I can pick up these things quick.

Would any of you be able to list some quick pointers or guides so that I can get to fixing it?

Thanks!
