Im looking for a power supply I found on for a 5000 anyone know if it will work or where I can find the correct one?
Do I have any other options like making one?
Thanks
Walter

The 5000 series is too old, plus the power supply is totally different than any of the 6000 series.

Super Six (6000), Super Six Plus (6100), and Super Six Plus II (6200, 6300) all use the same power supply module between models. You can usually find a good used power supply on ebay for any of the 6000 series, but I don't see any right now.

Here are a couple of pictures of the 6000 series power supply.

One shows a complete original power supply with the transformer, main filter capacitor, and the circuit board on top of the chassis.

The other picture shows one that I converted to use a modern "switching regulator" power supply. This was because the original circuit board was missing when my friend bought the machine.

The 6000 series power supply chassis was originally made of gold colored metal. Towards the end of the production run of the 6000 series, Arachnid cut costs and started making the power supply main chassis out of black plastic. Same power supply, just with a black plastic chassis.

The first one is just like the one in mine but not burnt to hell.
On the one you built I dont see the big blue cap or is it out of site?
Is there a guide to converting a power supply I could get?
Thanks

I just checked my game out found only the 12v side got toasted the 21v is working.
I think I can use a new power supply like you showed and be in business.
I will be recapping the monitor and would like to replace the Flyback transformer I checked Bob Roberts found the cap kit but could not find the FBT any ideas?
Thanks

The 6000 series used 9" amber monitors from two different manufactures: Omnivision (has a green colored circuit board) and Kristel (tan colored circuit board). I have NEVER seen a flyback failure on these monitors (I've probably fixed at least 50 of them over the years). If the flyback were bad, replacements would have to be bought from the particular monitor manufacturer's parts department (they still sell them).

Zanen Electronics now sell capkits for both the Kristel and Omnivision monitors:

OK just one more question for the night on the moded power supply above what is the adapter I hook the wires up to so the games harness can remain intact called and how sells it? I hope some one can understand what I am asking.
Thanks

I made that "adapter" harness out of junked pieces from an NBA Jam game wire harness. At least I think it came from an NBA Jam.

Thanks I just got back on to post I found one in a old cab I had.

You can solder wires from the switching power supply's terminal strip to a 10 pin Molex "KK" series 10 pin male header. The header pins would mate with the dart game's original power supply connector so no hacking of the dart machine's harness would be needed.

Mouser Electronics # 538-26-60-4100 Molex friction lock header, 10 pin just $1.18

Or if you had TWO 10 pin .156 KK housings, you could join them with # 538-26-60-5100.
