AR-II-02 (Star Wars, Battlezone, Millipede), fully rebuilt + recapped - $58 shipped
I have one fully rebuilt and recapped AR-II-02 for sale.
Note I also have refurbished AR's available (see link in my sig), which are cleaned, repaired and rebuilt as needed, but are not fully recapped, and are warrantied for one year.
Replacing caps on AR's is not normally necessary, as they Atari used very good quality caps, and they are not subject to the heat and voltage stresses normally found in things like monitors, where the caps do age faster and fail.
I do occasionally have AR's however that are missing caps, or have ones that are physically damaged. I usually use these as parts boards to repair other AR's, but occasionally I will fully rebuild one, including replacing all caps. This is one of those boards.
This AR can be used in any Atari game that uses an AR-II, as the -02 version supplies all possible voltages used by any game. If it is plugged in a cabinet that doesn't require certain voltages, they just won't be used, will not connect to anything, and will not cause any issues.
Details:
- Fully washed and dried.
- All electrolytic caps replaced with new Nichicon caps.
- New 2N3055 bottlecap transistor installed.
- New 7812 (+12V) and 7905 (-5V) regulators installed.
- +5V adjustment pot upgraded to new sealed cermet pot.
AR has been burn-in tested in my personal machine, with no issues. I will warranty this board for one year, where if you have any issues, just pay to ship it back to me and I will repair and return ship for free.
$58 shipped in the US. Int'l shipping extra.
