Apron Rescreening Interest

You'd really pique the interest of the EM guys as those are the ones that would benefit most from this service. Trust me, you'll get plenty of interest from them.

The EM guys would go NUTS! Just remember to contact Steve Young at the Pinball Resource if you do any Gottlieb ones.

Richard,

I'll send you one of my Xenon aprons you can use for "library building". :)

Any thoughts about refinishing spinners too? I've got one (see avatar) that is completely void of paint along the top surface.

How would any rights come into play if the service is merely to RE-SCREENPRINT someone's original apron?

Should I give Way-no a call before I shop my beater Firepower? Touch up the paint?

Call it "Apron Touchup" , clear coat it, and nobody gets hurt. No one goes after the playfield touchup guys. My FP apron needs touchup. As I mentioned to you before, I'm interested and have a spare apron as well. Let me know if you need a volunteer to run a trial.

Bill

Hey wow thanks for the feedback looks like Im tounchin on somethin here
for the most part these aprons are generally pretty simplistic in terms of art and yeah
a small library of art could be built along with pantone colors so in theory it should get easier as I go and color is what I do best :D

Licensing can always be problematic but theres usally holes and grey areas that Ill look for here.
which is why Im not "reproducing" aprons Im offering a service to screenprint your orginal.
Im going to move forward and do a couple of my own and do a completed blog post before going over to the RGP

There's a tendency to scrutinize the price when something rare, like a Rocky pin, comes up for sale. I remember that one. There were some tacky posts, but not for the most part. The trend I've seen on rgp is that most are willing to pay what something is worth, rather than nickel and dime it to death.

Well I don't want to hijack Rich's post about RGP but there was another Rocky offered for sale on there too that created much more drama than mine so you might remember mine or the other persons too who is actually a friend..anyway the point being this is a great idea and a service that is needed for all pin collectors older EM and newer too...

I think like mentioned before if you offer it as a retouch up service..there is nothing Wayne or anyone else can do...the person is providing their own apron..and your just fixing it..you charge for labor...:D

I totally agree just commenting based on my experience. Wayne has sent C&Ds to people that are making their own plastics and NOT selling them!
