I'm trying to diagnose the issue with this monitor out of an APB. I took a shot of the screen, and a few of the chassis. It looks like the chassis has had some recent (2003) work, but I cannot identify it off hand. WG K4xxx I'm thinking?

Judging from the screen, is that something a cap kit could clear up?

Thanks!

that's the med res 4915.

check Q302-303 and all the traces and solder pads in the area.

i would also give it a new full cap out. who knows what caps are or are not good/bad.

then give the chassis a proper re-flow.

reset all the pots to their centers and adjust from there.

you also have raster lines from the fly turn it down a bit.

Thanks! Think a new fly is in order to unsquish and remove the lines? This was apparently caused by a slight bump to the cab..

no those flybacks are pretty hardy.

turn down the screen pot on the fly and they will go away.
it will be the lower pot on the fly.

top pot is focus
lower pot screen control
