The APB I have is being awfully wierd. The car is automatically go-go-go from the minute I start a game without me even putting my foot on the gas pedal. Then at other times (not very often though), the car will stop so that I have to push the pedal to get it going again. But not to worry, I won't have to hold it down too long before it goes back to the way it was! So confusing. I tried cleaning the pots of the wiring harness to the pedal to no avail. I was thinking about replacing the whole assembly. Thought that a Pole Position pedal assembly could work. Are they compatible? I would appreciate anyone's help in solving this blasted conundrum?

P.S. On a side note, the machine also is emitting a high pitched squeel from
the power supply. It stops after a bit (perhaps needs to warm up?). Any ideas why and maybe how to fix?

Thanks again to all.

I have a Pole Position II that would not go full speed until I replaced all the springs. Maybe have a look at the assembly to see that you are getting consistent movement of that pot when you depress the pedal?
