I have a scratch on the monitor of one of my games. Its not a deep scratch, just a surface scratch. Running my fingernail across it you can barely feel it. Is there anyway to buff this out or buy some type of scratch remover for glass?

I heard of stuff called I think Jeweler's Rouge that works as a very fine abrasive. I might have to check into that. I'm jst trying to get some info on stuff people have actually used and have had success with.

Is what you want.

Have yet to try it but i have a k7 in a superhangon with scratches and if i ever get any damn money, that kis is what i will be buying.

SOme auto glass places that specialize in chip repairs and polishing may be able to do it for you, just depends im sure most would be scared to touch it.

In the world of used cars, we used to have a guy who could fix cracks, chips, even nasty scratches with this special buffer he patented and made. Really cool stuff.

I might look into that if I can't find anything else. The light scratch is only about an inch long and don't want to go about paying $45 for the product just to fix that one problem. If I had other monitors with scratches on them I would probably get it.

I have used the Eastwood kit on some automotive glass and it worked fine. I am sure it would be OK for a monitor as well if the scratch bothers you that much.

Scratches don't usually bother me, I think I have a small one on my Double Dragon that I've never given a thought to But this one is in just the right location where looking at it at just the right angle drives me nuts.

Still haven't gotten around to working on fixing the scratches, I need to swing into an auto glass store here soon and might ask them for advice. Just wanted to bump this up and see if anyone has try any products yet and get some feedback.

Cerium oxide. Perhaps even contact a local auto glass shop, they may be willing to do it.

Had to stop into a glass shop today to look at getting a replacement screen for one of the bedroom windows. I figured while I was there I would ask them if they knew of a way to remove scratches from a monitor. She gave me a bit of Cerium Oxide to try out and see if it works. So I know what I'll be doing this week. She only gave me a little bit, so I'm not sure if this is really enough to even bother mixing it. The more I play the machine, the more that damn scratch is mocking me.
