Anyway to stop paint from crackling/flaking off the glass bezel???

Got a really nice replacement bezel for my Space Invaders Cabaret. The bezels have the graphics screened onto the glass. My first bezel is in horrible shaped. Paints all cracked and flaking off. The new one is amazing. Is there anything I can do to help keep this one looking nice???

Do a search for triple thick. It is a common process for preserving pinball backglasses. There are several descriptions that will do a much better job of describing than I can.

+1 for Krylon Triple Thick. You have to mask off unpainted part of the glass before applying it of course, but it will keep the remaining paint from flaking.

I had to look for Triple Thick at a bunch of local stores, but did find it on my 7th or 8th attempt.

I used it on a Ms. Pac bezel with great results, then found a replacement anyway. LOL

FYI-Triple thick made the green in my Haunted House Backglass Bleed. It is not great on everything and it shows on anything that is lit (backglass, Marquee, some bezels.)

I've done a ton of things with it. How thick was the first coat? It works best if the first couple of coats are very thin so that it doesn't saturate the ink.

i wouldnt do anything to the good bezel
it looks fine
just keep the game in your house and it will be fine. (basicly a controled temp environment)

I think I will heed your advice. I will leave the really good bezel as-is. However, I think I will try to salvage the flaking nightmare.
