picked it up yesterday. looked cool and was in good shape. no idea how old it is, manufacturer, value?

Those are called Parlour Bagatelles and predate the pinball machines, I think it's probably a vintage one instead of a modern copy, because of the font... the back also looks like it's well made, and has been scratched up a lot over the years also leading me to think it's probably a vintage one instead of a modern copy. The playboard looks really, really clean though, and usually if they're the old ones they've faded more and have more dirt and discoloring, etc. but it could just be that's a really well preserved one.

so, since it appears to really be an antique, and since it's so simple (hole layout, no artwork) I'd imagine it's one of the cheaper ones sold in the 20's and 30's... It was really popular in the late 1800's but they were made a little more creatively, they had bells and things on the board. This one was probably sold at a department store so a little less extravagant. The later ones were even cheaper, but had lots of artwork on them. So this is probably one of the ones in between, early 20th century.

none of them are really worth all that much, but maybe $100 to the right person?

very cool. thanks for all the detailed history. i think it will be a great piece to help decorate the arcade.
