or should i just trash it all? back half of the yoke is broken off...tube looks like it has very little screen burn so i hate to just trash it if there is anything I can do with it?

I have no clue on monitor stuff...so need some help here.

Looks like the yoke is still on there to me.

The chassis is hanging off, it looks like a g07. Check the link in my sig, I can repair it if it's broken.

well...not familiar with what is what here as far as terminology...but let me rephrase...its broken off clean at that glass vacuum tube looking thingy.

I am not seeing what you are saying is broken in your pic. Please get a better close up of the "broken area", or put your photo into Paint or some other photo editor and draw arrows showing the damage.

I see nothing there that shouldn't be usable...

Are you talking about the neck board? If so, you should be able to just plug it back in if its hanging with the rest of the chassis.

Maybe this will help. By the way, I made a typo in the image mockup -- where is says "Ping" it was supposed to say "Pink":

The neckboard should just plug right onto the back of the display tube where the pins are. Sorry if I am insulting your intelligence, but I think that we're all a little confused...

i will check it out and take some more pics...no insults at all, i'm a total noob with the monitors, so I need some basic help lol....sorry, i'm learning as i go here.

thanks for being patient with me.

the two white leads you have circled in yellow attached to the white block...that is connected to the frame...doesn't look broken? should it be on the yoke? where should those be connected?

I put the suction cup thingy back on.

the white plastic you have circled in red doesn't look broken.

i stuck the neck board back on there...i thought it was broken off...my bad.

the two copper wires are intact...or it looks like they are to me anyway?

ok so...here are more pics:

That thing circled in yellow is part of the degauss circuit and should be mounted to the frame like that with a screw. The two white wires should have a plug at one end that attaches to the chassis.

I don't see any obvious issues with it, but that doesn't mean it works. Mount it back to the frame, plug it in, and cross your fingers...

Yup, it all looks fine so far. It's definitely a g07.

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if the flyback is toast from flopping around like that though.

anything plug in to the top two leads on the pink board in the 1st pic above?

the white leads dont really have a plug, there are just two ends there? where do they plug in?

trying to find a pic to ref but i cant find one that shows what i need to see..

No

There are two pins on a white connector on the chassis on the left side near the fuses. Put one plug on each pin. One wire will probably be a little longer than the other, so put it on the farthest pin from the block it's connected to...

Just thought of something else. I'm not sure how handy you are with an iron, but you'll want to check those header pins it's hanging from for broken joints. I can't imagine that they're too happy.

i am ex-military...was an interior communications electrician on submarines...i'm micro miniature certified with the Navy...or was back in the day anyway...was trained to troubleshoot and repair boards to the component level. I catch on quick, but i jumped in to this arcade stuff to neck deep water before i figured out how deep it was lol...i just started messing with this stuff to build a MAME machine about a month and a half ago and got hooked...have about 10 machines now to play with :)

I just need to learn what everything is called and some of the terminology used...that sort of thing...so bare with me lol....sorry.

You should have no problems then. :)

Start with the Monitor FAQ stickied at the top of this section.

Edit: Link

yeah...i've been reading that...i just needed to find a pic that shows exactly what parts match up to whats being talked about in that thread lol...the one posted in this thread helped out a lot as far as figuring out what is what.

appreciate the help.
