I have a Matsushita 14" TM-144G/SEGA S-97460-P 100vac out of a cocktail (370GHB22 tube) that is struggling to focus. I have recapped, new filter so far but the focus issue remains.
I was going to send it to Sharp Image repair but they want me to ship the whole unit complete with tube which I really don't want to do.

Is there anyone who is set up to work on these without needing a tube sent along with the chassis? I do have the service manual with the schematics that I can provide too.

Thanks

I have never worked on one of those....I would suggest a couple of easy things you could do until you find a repair person for this one:

Make sure the the connections between the focus block and the neck board are good (if that's how it's set up).
Change the neck socket.

I just tried searching for replacement CR-30 sockets and can't even find those. Yikes.

Check with @paul400 (or if you're on Facebook, Paul Juray). He does great work and he's fixed a few of my monitors.

Thanks,
Jason
