anyone want to save a dedicated Johnny Nero Action Hero?

Picked up this partially stripped dynamo hs-27 cabinet. It looks to me like a dedicated Johnny Nero Action Hero(Pic on the manual is the same cabinet). I was going to convert it to something useful, but I thought I should ask to see if someone wants to save it/has better plans for it.

Game has full side art and control panel art. Missing marquee and any monitor bezel art. No game board or guns, but it still has the 12/24 auxillary power supply and pcb for the guns and wiring for the guns.

Cabinet looks like its prewired for for normal jamma. The control panel has only been drilled for the 2 start buttons and the gun cable. So you can pretty much set this up any way you want. Cabinet has no isolation transformer. Cabinet can either take a 25" or 27" or a 27" or 29" monitor (have not checked yet, but it has removeable wooden mounts)

Monitor can also be lowered to 45" and it has a wood piece in the bottom of the cabinet fill the gap(for golfing and bowling games).

Here are some pics. If your interested, let me know. Maybe we can work something out. If not, I will probably convert it to something like neo geo or multi cps 2 for an operator I know..

Also if you need the JN manual or the gun board and power supply, let me know.

Johnny Nero only came as a kit...pretty cool game, in an offbeat way. Different theme for a gun game, imo. Looks like that cab was a generic Dynamo. I don't believe those were ever made for a dedicated game. I've seen them converted to JN, Big Buch, Tekkens, etc...

I would not argue with you on kit or not as I never noticed the game before, except that the cover art of the manual and this flyer show it in the cabinet.. Although the cabinet in this flyer has a slightly different cut to the control panel plus they mounted the guns out the top of the panel and not the front.

As for the dynamo making generic hs27 cabinets, Atari's cabinet maker used to make generic showcase cabinets. I used to see ads for the 33" and 25" cabinets in replay.

That's a pretty fun game; I have one in the Chuck E Cheese near my house.

You can play with 1 gun or use both at the same time. since I'm gangsta, I use two...

Only a handful of dedicated games were made. We have one on our route that came of the show floor when ICE first introduced the game.
