My wife and I recently installed blacklight carpet in some parts of our arcade.

Our favorite fuzzball Ripley is showing just how much fur she can cast off in just a couple days.

She looks so innocent... But she's not.

Anyway, I decided to try sticking one of our robot vacuums in there to see how it does, but then immediately I was starting to get wigged out by how much it was bumping into the games.

I wrapped the thing in felt in the hopes that it'll prevent scratches.

Anyone running these in their arcade for a significant amount of time? Have you noticed any damage from the vacuums?

I don't have one in my arcade, but i do have a Eufy clean downstairs. It maps out the area, and doesn't just randomly bump into everything, unlike the Roomba we used to have.

Only got one cabinet that could really take a hit, but I've had two different robots over the last couple years and I just checked and there's not a single noticeable scuff.

I use one in my Arcade and I've never seen any damage caused by it. It does love to get stuck under games. Which leads to a fun round of hide and seek looking for it.

They're a pita....especially for a long haired dog(have a golden)....even though my arcade is upstairs and she doesn't go upstairs, inevitably I have to frequently vacuum the dog hair in the arcade....I do not, better to do it the old fashioned way....they're too stupid and not strong enough to get the job done effectively, and frequently retread and still miss stuff...which means bumping into games again and again even though that part of the rug doesn't need it..

Only vac where it's dirty, no need for more wear and tear on the expensive carpet.
