I used to love paradise arcade shop, but had some issues with them on my last few orders. I still do order from I just make sure I am clear when I order, to avoid confusion or their right to "substitute" one product for another. Everything was straighten out I just had to pay shipping 3 times.

They are the only place I know where you can get the quality Spanish made Il sticks. The HAPPS are just licensed copies made in china and they subistute pvc for two of the nylon parts which makes a huge difference. Also the tolerances are lower on the HAPPs.

You also get cherry micro switches on the Ils. HAPP uses crappy zippys.

Lastly Ils come with a color matched dust washer. HAPPs come with black.

I can't say anything about the ILs, but I have heard the same things. I am in the same boat looking for new NeoGeo sticks. I have the HAPP Competitions currently, but find the trigger sometimes gets stuck resulting in death for me.

I am hoping to move to Sanwa bat tops and give those a whirl, but they are pricey.

Go with Ils they are great. But if you do get Sanwas make sure you buy the octagonal or circular gate. The standard square gates are too harsh.

I ordered them because they are from a local company and I thought I would give them a try.
If I did order the Il sticks witch would they be better on my MK2 or the Neo Geo? I will have to use the Happ one on one of them. Is there a big difference in the feel? The place I ordered the Happs from is game room guys I might call them and see if they can get the IL sticks.

Omg, you bought ultimates? They are garbage, competitions are better, but really you should have gotten the Il Eurosticks from Paradise arcade. $16 each and worth every penny

Since I am getting black that is not a big deal.

The color is a minor issue, the Il sticks are better, with the few extra bucks.

Ultimates and Supers are horrible for fighting games. The comps are the only decent HAPP stick, but like I said the Ils have better parts.

Also what is the difference between the ultimates and the competitions?

The actuator is larger on the ultimate and it is harder to press diagonals. Everything is different. I bought 1 ultimate when I was first starting out, and quickly realized it was a mistake.

I suppose if you play chatacters where you don't have to press F,D,DF or D,DF,F it wouldn't be a big deal.

I guess I could just put them in my NEO GEO and order something else for the MK2. Since MK2 is harder and having a stick that will not work right would suck. The sticks I have now kind of work, the MK does not allways move left and right and the neo geo sticks. I am just ordering new ones and figured I could rebuild the old ones later for spares. How long does it take to get things from paradise? I need the stuff before my sons B-day party on DEC. 8. Thats part of the reason I ordered from game room guys. They did not carry the black Happ stick any more but they ordered them and will have them Friday. If I would have known they were junk I would not have ordered them, Lesson learned. Could I take the actuator off one of my other sticks and put on them? Or would it not work right? At least that way it might work better.

You can't swap the actuator, the shaft is different. I am uploading a video to youtube to show the differences and you can decide. My orders from Paradise take about a week, but make sure you tell them you need them before a certain date, and it doesn't hurt to send a PM to armi0024 (Bryon) and let him know you too.

I'll try calling game room guys and see if they can get the comp. and change my order. Then I might try the IL sticks. Would the comp sticks be good for a fighter? I only ask because I ordered one red and one black, stock on the MK2, and wanted to keep the Neo Geo all black like it came. I know it's kind of a different topic but what about ball tops vs bat sticks for fighting games?

Here is my answer, The HAPP Comp sticks are OK, and I used them for a while but once I got a IL I had to swap out the HAPPs for ILs in my other fighting games.

As a general rule, I'd never knowingly buy a Joystick that was manufactured anywhere with DONG in its name.......Subconsciously, there just seems to be some hidden innuendo in there some where. You know.....like if you play 1000 games of MKII with a joystick made in DONG, you magically become gay or something. And in case you missed it in the auction and just happen to think I went bat shit crazy all of a sudden, the item's location was Guangdong, China. And how do you you tell your other gaming buddies, "Hey man, don't know how to tell you, but that joystick your gripping was made in DONG.......Maybe you should go and get tested." :)

I need to get some joysticks for my Neo Geo and was thinking about trying these out.

Has anyone tried these? I was thinking about them because of the price, I just order some Happ Ultimate 8 ways for $14.75 shipped, for my MK2. I am sure these are not as good buy for the price would you guys take a chance?
