Our local SMAC group had a link to a local craigslist had a listing for a "nintendo console". I gave him a call and asked him what it was and he said VS. Golf. I asked if I could check it out and he said yes so I headed out.

When I got there I saw something I had never seen before. It looks like a mini Vs system. It's a wood cab, nintendo nameplate, pp7b power supply and Vs board. I haven't taken it apart to see which monitor it has.

I'll get better pics soon. Anyone seen one of these before??????? - Barry

never seen one like that. It looks like it was cut in half. Funny, because there was a guy in PDX trying to sell the top half of a Nintendo cab on CL. Maybe there was a magic act that went horribly wrong?

Interesting Barry. It looks custom made. I've never seen that type of cab before. With that said, I'm hoping you got it for free or for the cost of parts. :D Looking forward to seeing more details about the cab.

It's way too nice and well thought out to be homemade. From the side it has curves similiar to a full size cab. I'll get better pics tomorrow as it's stored at a friends house. - Barry

I want to see a pic of the serial plate. Wouldn't be the first time one of these were transferred. And they used to send out Vs. plates with the kits, no?

I'll get good pics tomorrow. Yeah it could just be a VS kit installed, what else could this have been? - Barry

It's a Nintendo Mini-me! :D

Actually if I had to bet by the looks of the coin mech and door it's just a very well made custom, there's some pretty talented woodworkers out there whom like coin-ops too. Cute none the less!

I've seen a playchoice bartop that looks similar (minus that base)... but nothing quite like that.

That half-a-widebody was bought by Rich to be put out of it's misery. I don't recall what he had planned for it.

It very well could be homeade, but it's done very well and multiple games had to be used to get to this point since it has a Vs board and cage, a Vs control panel, a DK style power supply (which I know was still used in conversions) and a 13" monitor which was used in the early cocktails.

I'm headin over to take more pics and get the monitor out to see what it is. I'll post more pics when I get home.

At best it's some rare Nintendo piece, at worst it's parts to make a sweet test bench. - Barry
