Anyone see this? Chuck E. Cheese refused lic.

There's been a lot of fights not necessarily between the kids, but the PARENTS. Little Johnny took little Jimmy's tickets and now big Jimmy is going to shove a gat in big Johnny's mouth.

I myself will not take the kids there during peak times. It's just too crowded.

But yeah, CEC is 80% redemption anyway. The violent video games part of that argument is BS.

If a parent deems the video games too violent for their children, they don't have to take them there. End of Story.

Reminds me of last year when we voted to allow alcohol to be sold on Sundays for consumption on premises at restaurants throughout the county. There was a lot of uproar from local religious organizations over the serious implications that would arise should we vote in favor of repealing the ban.

The only games we have that are even close to violent are Aliens Extermination (half of the audio tracks are muted and blood has been disabled) and Johnny Nero- Action Hero, which simulates a comic book story. Now if we had House of the Dead 4 (which would be sweet!! :D) then I would understand.

And besides, in the 7 months Ive worked there, weve only had to call the cops 3 times! Seriously! Thats not that bad, right? :p

here's that recent story of that one that was involved with the fighting. but i'd guess it depends on what area the chuck e cheese is going in... typically the ones i see are in shittier depressed areas where that type of person is gonna go.

According to the cops:

officers told him that the Chuck E. Cheese's on Harlem Road was one of their top trouble spots.

Looks like it's the people, not the games. However, if a license is denied then the problem at least there is solved.

Yeah we know it is the people, that is what makes this such a stupid statement.

FTA: "In a 3-3 vote this week, the board failed to approve a game license for the kids-themed food and entertainment venue on Harlem Road, citing concerns about violent video games and bad behavior by patrons that require police intervention."

So what will happen after they remove all games and there are STILL fights. Will they re-think the lame ruling and see the true problem. Unfortunately, you can't scan CEC patrons for "dumbass" upon admittance.

Oh My.... Hey those ain't all american boys and girls now are they??
Sorry I have to say it but that shit is the same anywhere across the globe where these folks live as the people that start fights here in the Mc donnalds and Burger King look the same, behave the same and wear nearly the same outfits as these folks.

Damn shame that they behave like this in front of children.
Myntik 1 once said to me that I shouldn't poisen my childs mind etc..
Well look what they teaching their kids..well that's mind poisening right there, guess when they grow up they gonna settle any argument in the same way cause that's what they seen at an age when they were in a critical learning behavioural phase, Poor children.....This just breaks my hart. damn shame, damn rap music culture.

We need some peace in this world!!!!

Rap music culture? Dress like how? All I saw were a bunch of people wearing regular clothes and I didn't hear any rap music. I saw people acting ignorant, that's all.

Ah never mind, it's a certain type of style and behaviour I can spot from a mile away.

have it your way and I'll have it my way.

O and look at the A hole who was filming it with his hooded shirt, he laughing and enjoying the event, that's just wrong!!!

I used to take my son there when he was 3 or 4 years old. Some families from the inner city would go there, and bring a lot of kids with them. Now I ain't a racist and I aint no fool, but these kids were the rudest, most inconsiderate little bleeps you'll ever see. They would jump on a ride right in front of you after you put the token in, grab a game right in front of you, bump into you, constantly ask for tokens. Hell, one time we had our pizza sitting on our table with all out stuff, got up to play a game, and right away little "Johnny" went right in our booth and grabbed a piece of our pizza. The trouble starts when you try to reason with the parents. It can't be done. If you go up to them too tell them that their kids are doing this or that, the first thing out of their mouth is "Who the F$%k you think you are?". It's true I tell ya.
Once my Sister-in-law took her Son there. Her Son was in those tubes on the ceiling with his older Brother. They came to a couple "inner city" kids sitting in the tube. The kids told my Nephew that only "black" kids can go past, no whites. I'm glad I wasn't there because there would've been another police incident.

I don't know if it's just the people here in Buffalo or not, but some people go out of their way to act like animals.

Sorry about the rant, but it happens there daily. FU if you think I'm lying.

Oh yeah brother, what you say sounds so familiar so no need to feel sorry about "the rant", I don't feel sorry for what I wrote two posts ago, some ain't going to like it but hey that kinda stuff is going on so I am not going ignore it and pretend like it ain there.

Wow you hit the nail right on the head when you said:

Dude that's where the rooth of the problem is as mostly those parents give the child like a free pass to do what ever they want and when people adress them about the missbehavings of their child they say it all ain't true as their kids a little angel.
With these people you just can't reason let allone have a normal conversation.

My nine year old son goes to a school for the less gifted and most kids in his class are, there are a few children that have autism like my son, or with adhd but these are a small group at the school as most kids are normal but don't accept authority and rules and the parents, well they are like what you said, you just can't reason with them.

This year we organised a birthday party for my son at an indoor playground and he invited some kids from school, there were two kids that just started hurting other kids for no reason and went behaving like you said, then the others followed example, the rest you can guess.

AND HERE'S ANOTHER ONE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YLqbE0elMs

All I can think when I see this, why they so agressive, the woman is pregnant.

It's the same generation that was part of the reason they closed the arcades down in my home town when I was coming up. Only now they're grown up and they're STILL ASSHOLES, STILL getting in fights in arcades, plus they have kids.

Stay classy, humanity.

That's just a convenient excuse for them to deny the license, and stop the problem at that location.

And yes, I wasnt lying when I said we have had to call the cops 3 times in the 7 months Ive worked there.

First time, we had a very strange gentleman come in by himself and ask for a free pizza. we obviously declined him and said he had to leave. He called us racist and stayed by our entrance doors yelling at the guests leaving.

Second time, a white trash group of people had an extremely rude and misbehaving kid. As I was closing the gameroom and cleaning all the games, this rambunctious little punk would run around the games yelling N***ER! He yelled it straight to my face and I said "Whoa, calm down buddy." Across the room, I hear the deadbeat mom yell "Dont you tell him what to do! You should be used to that shit! If you dont like it, find another place to work!" Dumbfounded by the statement I just got slapped with, I calmly told them that we cannot accept that kind of behavior in a family environment. Soon enough, it was us 4 employees and managers vs. the 6+ hicks in a raging argument that all the other guests stopped and watched. As we gave the husbands our corporate number to 'complain' about us, the other moms went into our showroom and dumped every pepper and cheese shaker on the ground. They stormed out of the restaurant and stated that they will be back for us when we are closed. Assuming they were bluffing, we went about our buisness and continued to close the restaurant. But sure enough, out the window, we see headlights and it was them. We hit the silent alarm and that was the end of that.

The third time, we had a troubled and upset group of partygoers picking fights with other guests. We told them to leave the premesis immediately and they started threatening us. We called the police immediately and they exited the building, only to start a brawl in the parking lot. It solved itself before the police arrived.

So working at Chuck E. Cheeses isnt a terribly boring job :)
