Does anyone have their Mario bros cab set up to run both Popeye and Mario Bros. ? ?

I've been running a Popeye pcb in my Mario Bros. widebody cab with no problems. I also had to remove the 2-way plate from the joystick base and swap in a Nintendo 4-way controll harness for player 1. There are no power supply issues.

Cool.....so the joysticks are actually 4-way but theres a plate to make them move only 2-way ? I haven't looked at the Mario Bros cp yet .

Is there someone who sells the 4-way control harness or am I gonna have to find a used full complete Nintendo harness somewhere to get it .

Dont the two use different PS'?

They do. However, as long as you have a harness that goes with the correct Power Supply (Popeye PS with Popeye harness or MB PS with MB Harness), you are golden. a Popeye PS with a MB Harness (and the reverse) will not work. It took me a bit to figure that out... LOL Popeye PS does not have -5V which MB uses for the sprites.

I forgot to mention that you'll also have to add 2 micro switches to your player 1 joystick base for the up and down directions.

You should post in the wanted section for a Nintendo vs. control harness (you'll just need the player 1 harness, since it has the connections for the 1 and 2 player buttons to start the game) and two micro switches with mounting brackets (look at the base of your joystick to see what I mean).
