My Asteroids did something weird the other day... When powered on, the screen zoomed in then went black. No crazy sounds or burning smell, but now it plays blind. Fuses are good. There is glow in the neck, and what I suppose is described as chatter in the posts I've read.

Right now I'm working on a new Multi-Williams machine and a pinball playfield swap, not sure I want to take on yet another project, but would like to get my Asteroids working.

Is the spot killer on?

Display is totally black and LED isn't lit on the monitor board. That LED lights up if spot killer is on, correct? Sorry, this is my first and only vector. I'm just now educating myself on it.

Fuses on the lower board panel. I had to rebuild the a/r II power supply and replace 20 amp fuse and replace big blue on a tempest. It fired right away. Played great. Just have to cap it.

That is correct. But you could have an issue on the regulator board or in the HV cage.

Thank you very much... Arcadesolutions has them, I'm actually going to send it in for the rebuild. I have too many projects going on at the same time and just want everything working rolling into Thanksgiving and Christmas.
