Anyone remember the first game they played/first they beat?

Played some nes types of games on the good ole commoore 64. Summer games, super mario bros, clone of that vecor tank game (brain fart), batman game for nes I think we actually did beat. Good game really! Almost fogot that we beat that! Jungle hunt or clone. All my games were pirated copies. Didn't even understand all of that back then. All I knew was that I wanted an nes. Turns out that comodore 64 had a lot of games crossover from nes. Paperboy and super mario (pirate hack?) Come to mind.
Might as well they were both 6502. Hmm curious about the c64 audio hardware...
The C64 Super Mario game was a graphics hack of The Great Giana Sisters.

first game played

First game for me had to be a puck bowler back in the early 70's(god i am old).
First game i beat, well, Wizard of Wor i guess. To me, getting past the 13th level was beating it for me. No barriers to hide behind and after that level it repeated.

First game I played was Sea Wolf. I was 6 and probably scored less than my age. Spent the next month drawing submarines.

First game I beat was the first game I liked that could be beat: Golden Axe. I always played the elf (duh). At first I beat it by having my girlfriend buy in late as the Amazon (or whatever the chick was), just in time to fill her magic to full. She would stay with me and hide behind me, scooping up the magic. Then I'd hit Death Adder once, have her bring out the bad ass dragon, and then hit him once, again. After a few times like this I finally beat him alone.

The first game that I played was Space Invaders. I remember thinking that it was complicated....I was 8.

The two games that I can remember beating was super Mario bro, and Kirby all the way through with out no game genie. But it Was on when I got my first game genie:)

My earliest memory i have was playing Transbot on Sega master system when i was about two years old, so i've literally been playing video games as long as i can remember.

As far as the first game i beat, i dont remember one in particular, but Violent Storm was the first arcade game i ever beat. Granted, it cost me probably about 12 bucks, but i did it. I also remember dancing like an idiot the first time i beat mega man X when i was like ten or so, but again i dont think it was the first game i beat.

I was born in '92, but I grew up with a hand-me-down NES. While my brother was enjoying GoldenEye and Quest 64 with his friends, I was playing Metroid, Contra, Back to the Future, Milon's Secret Castle, and Super Mario Bros.

Sadly, the poor thing's no longer with us, nor is the collection of games we had for it. I'm not sure where it went, but I suspect it was lost when we moved.

I know exactly the game and day:

Smurfs for Colecovision - 12/25/1982. I wanted it for Christmas so bad for some reason. Beat it the first day. It's pretty short and technically doesn't end, but repeats over and over after you rescue Smurfette.

Super Mario Bros for NES. When I was 12, my mom bought me SMB2 and Double Dragon for NES. My cousin and I beat them both in one night.

First console game ever played? Duck Hunt on NES. By some Christmas miracle in 1986 my brother and I received a Nintendo Entertainment System Deluxe Set with Duck Hunt and Gyromite. Never played a game before that, I was 4 at the time. It still boggles my mind to think that my parents who were never financially comfortable actually dropped 200 '86 US dollars on a gift for us, and the fact that it was my stepdad's idea who was always one to complain about spending on anything and didn't have the most warm or fun personality when I was younger. Needless to say my life was changed forever.

First console game ever beat? Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!. I got the game at age 5 and was probably 7 or 8 by the time I finally beat Mike Tyson.

First arcade game ever played? Not certain, but the first memory I have is of Punch-Out!!. The game was already 3 years old at the time but as a 5-year-old it was the most aesthetically appealing thing in the arcade with it's speech, giant character sprites and dual monitors. It blew my mind and was the best thing on planet earth to me. When I found out that a NES version starring my childhood hero was coming out I literally went crazy. That was the first and most severe episode of video game madness in my life.

First arcade ever beat? Never had enough quarters or tokens to finish an arcade game as a kid, though I think the first time I ever saw TMNT at Chuck E Cheese during my friend's birthday I was able to join late enough in the game to finish it off with 3 friends.
