Anyone remember the first game they played/first they beat?

No clue on the first game I beat as a lot of the early games I think I played were more of high score games. SMB for the nes had to be one of the early ones though.

First NES would be Super Mario Bros

Age Alert: However first played would be the Atari 2600 with the original cartridge with Combat. First beat was Adventure because it was the first 1 player game I had on the 2600 with a real ending.

First arcade played would be PacMan

First won would probably be Jungle King

I have very fond memories of getting to play my very first game and the first time I ever beat a game.

My first game: Paperboy for the NES
My first game I best: Rescue Rangers for the NES

The first game I ever played was Sea Wolf. It was at the front of a grocery store. I was like 6 and not near tall enough to look through the "periscope". Not sure I scored a point. But I remember that for a week I stopped drawing airplanes and drew submarines.

The first game I beat was Golden Axe. I'd play the elf solo up to the point at which my girlfriend could quarter in, choose the chick, stay right with me to stay alive, and gather enough magics to fill her bag. On the final scene she'd hit her magic button to weaken the hell outta Death Adder before one last horned head-butt from my elf would finish him off. I then ultimately got to where I could beat the game completely solo. That was the first coin-op game I ever knew that had an ending.

I take my 1st game back, it was Space Tactics at Show Biz. Would love find that high tech game working somewhere nearby.

Not really sure the first game I ever played, but the first game I ever owned was given to me by my late uncle Earl in the mid '80s. It was this LCD game. I remember thinking it was the greatest thing ever to have my own video game. :)

OK - Old Guy Here...

My first video game was, get this, Computer Space. They had one at Edmund's Scientific in Barrington, NJ and my 8th grade teacher took me there in his Corvette.

First one we had at home was a Pong game and years later I bought an Atari 800 computer with Star Raiders. As far as beating - I'm guessing Miner 2049er. It was the best game ever for the Atari Home Computers. My Dad was exceptional at a game called "Montezuma's Revenge" - it had levels that were completely black and he could jump over holes in the floor like they were visible.

My first arcade video game was Magic Sword in a Robotron cab (bought it that way) http://www.alsarcade.com/magswrd . First pinball was DE Simpsons.

The first Nes game that I remember beating all tha way with out any game genie is super Mario brothers. All time great game, It brings back good memory every time I play that game!!!

Mine was metroid on the nes. We recorded it and attempted to sell it to the younger kids so they could see it played all the way through. Don't believe we sold any but was a great game to bad I'm to cheap to buy it for my playchoice.

First game I ever played.... I'm really not sure on this, but I'd say DK jr or it might of been, Pac Man on the 2600.

First game I ever beat was Castlevania 2 for the NES.

First game I ever played was, Boxing for the 2600. First one I "beat" I think was Pitfall.

First game I ever played was Super Pac, at the local video rental store.

First game I ever beat on my own without cheats or help was Zork.

"You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door."

First game was Night Driver in a groovy and sparkly sit-down version, followed by Sprint, Space Wars, and Space Invaders.

The first game I ever beat was Dragon's Lair.

Played some nes types of games on the good ole commoore 64. Summer games, super mario bros, clone of that vecor tank game (brain fart), batman game for nes I think we actually did beat. Good game really! Almost fogot that we beat that! Jungle hunt or clone. All my games were pirated copies. Didn't even understand all of that back then. All I knew was that I wanted an nes. Turns out that comodore 64 had a lot of games crossover from nes. Paperboy and super mario (pirate hack?) Come to mind.
Might as well they were both 6502. Hmm curious about the c64 audio hardware...
