Anyone pull a monitor from an Outrun upright before?

Its from the front. Remove the bolts for and swing down the control panel, then remove the monitor bezel and work your way back to the tube. Comes out pretty easy, but yes you gotta remove all those parts first.

Not much room in there, looks like it has to come out the front.

Looks like a pain either way.

Flip down control panel, remove plastic bezel, plexi, a few parts, and take out the front. It's a PITA to do anything with the monitor in there. I can swap the chassis in and out, but it's almost easier to pull the monitor to do it.

Be careful removing the plastic bezel. It is thin, fragil and can be brittle. The control panel plastic cover is fragil also try not to flex it.

Good luck.

I broke the neck on a k7000 pulling it out of the cabaret. if you have a cabaret, make sure the back door is open. More room in the UR, but I would still have it open. maybe pull the neckboard before just to be safe.

if its the original monitor, its 100v and you should try to find a flyback for it. It was unavailable several years ago. But I think a few years ago some places like arcacadecup had them.

It's the same process for an outrun mini/cabaret

I ended up leaving the tube in and removing the four screws on the back panel with the fan and removing it to get access to the chassis. It gave me plenty of room to work.
