Anyone own a Pole Position COMPACT cab?

These are really cool. I think most refer to them as Pole Position "Irish" cabs.

I don't know if that's the case , but I did a write-up on those .... 20 years ago !!

Like I said, I've never actually heard of PP "compact" version, but the Irish-made cab is quite a bit smaller
from my observation (as described in my post above )

Thanks,
Steph

Ok, the dedicated PPII that Steph describes and Glitch's picture above clearly show the socalled "compact cabinet", IMO.
Hm, the manual supplement I have is clearly for Pole Position 1. Maybe it didn't sell and they used them up to make PPII conversions?
Also I find it a little confusing calling them "Irish", as cockpits and regular uprights where manufactured in Ireland as well.
Still, dedicted PPII are still somewhat rare, I guess?
Anyway, I uploaded the supplement to the KLOV database now.

I believe that at least some of the uprights and cockpits were manufactured in the US based on the video below.

odd that the pp1 compact drawing has a flat top like the upright, compared to the dedicated pp2 which has a slanted down top like a centipede

could be an error on the drawing but Atari is usually very accurate with those line drawings from what I've noticed

I am sure they were. The Irish factory was set up to built cabs for the european market. The US usually got US built cabs.
