Isn't FullThrottle also a Karl?
I'm guessing he thinks he found someone with the same first and last name as himself who also collects games (or claims to collect games).
Ok guys, since I finally have the information I needed and you just can't give up on it here's the story...
BINGO! Yes, I was online one day and got an email from a Karl with my exact first and last name. I had seen his info online before when googling and searching myself, but never thought too much of it... So one day I get this email on Facebook "Hey, we've got the same exact name, cool!" Its a very odd name so that in itself was a WOW moment. We start chit chatting back and forth and sharing similar stories of funny things with our name and getting into trouble, then I notice that he has his birthday as one day and one year after mine. I'm Jan 28, he's Jan 29, I'm '81 he's '82... Right on, thats an effin' weird coincidence. After more talking I find out he has a '70 Ford Mustang, I have a '70 Ford Galaxie... Damn!! Not only does he have my exact name, looks, talks and types like me, but his birthday is one day off and we practically drive the same car?! I asked him if he by any chance doesn't collect arcade machines... He says YES, that he's got almost 20 and sends me 8 pictures of "his" gameroom! WTF?!?! What are the odds of two guys 2000 miles apart, almost same birthdays, look the same, type the same, drive the same year old Ford cars, AND collect arcade games?!?! I was so shocked, and after talking to a few friends about it and a TV producer KLOV member I was asked if I would have a film crew video tape interview me, tape my trip out, tape us meeting each other and also interview him.
It was so freaky it would have been the true "Everyone has a twin just like them out there but you never meet" story with us even having the same exact name!! I was ready to drive out and abandon CAX next year for the chance to meet my clone, but I needed answers!
The "need" for the secrecy is I was trying to get accurate information, and if I laid the entire story out there all the accurate info and answers I needed would be sitting on klov for anyone in the world to read. Also I wasn't sure if a KLOV member or one of my friends was messing with me, I needed a local who didn't know the entire story already to confirm some facts for me. Since I now know that MOST of the story is true I can let it be and don't feel the overwhelming urge to drive 4000 miles to meet this guy!
This is why I didn't tell the whole story and didn't want to spill the beans before I EVEN KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON!! It would have been a REALLY good story to have posted about the trip and my twin clone. Thats why I kept telling you guys I'd like to wait on the story, I needed more facts before I spilled the entire story and gave everyone the ammunition to REALLY mess with me and waste alot of time, money and get pissed off that I never got the answers that I needed...
Thank you to the handful of klovers who were able to give me the required information and help me with a legitimate checkout of this guy... Still would be cool to meet him someday but I'm not gonna plan a whole trip if he doesn't have a gameroom full of the 'cades!
