Hey folks, fully restored GORF may be going up for sale soon. Well I should say 99% restored as I still don't have the stick lights working. I installed new bulbs, so I assume it is a problem in the rank light board. All the rank lights work however, lower marquee and upper marquee are lit up and nice, back bezel area has a blue CFL which gives it a soft glow. Rebuilt power supply, all carts tested working. Burn free rebuilt G07 monitor. Nice original tempered glass bezel with some slight graphic lifting in one corner. Brand New Repro Screened control panel. This is the earlier version complete with louvers on the metal above the CP and the harder roms (verified by the Twin Galaxies world champion on Gorf, gorfchampion himself). Completely restored and repainted cabinet, complete with star splatter. New repro side art. Comes with credit button installed in a powder-coated coin door. Beautiful machine. Can ship thru NAVL or SpeeDee depending on where you are if you set it up. Looking for $1500 firm and this is in MN. Thanks.

Dang, you put so much time, effort, aggravation into this machine. Bummer you cant keep it.

Well, I got my use out of it, took lots of nice pictures, and I need the space for my Wacko. This game is hard, and my kids don't like it.

It's a beautiful machine. I've seen it in person, and it's a work of art.

I got the pleasure of witnessing the Twin Galaxies champion himself playing that machine. Yeah, I'm not getting any scores like THAT any time soon.

Bump for a great seller and an even better machine.

Thanks Brad, and BTB, the machine now has its original Midway coin door badge riveted back on the powder-coated coin door:

Oh and yes, by rebuilt G07 I mean caps, flyback and HOT. The power board was also fully rebuilt, so I doubt it'll see any more problems in the next 20 years. All speech and sounds are present. If the game were easier, I wouldn't be considering selling it, as I'd never find a nicer one. When my kids can't get into a game, and it's not a game from my childhood, it has to go, beautiful or not. My kids will have a lot more fun with Wacko.

Is that the Wacko from Chris2587923011-I-have-a-camaro, Chris?

I played that game a lot back in the glory days. The cool thing about it was having several games in one. I also liked the break in the game a player got when you blew up the mothership. A quarter would typically go a long way on this game as opposed to other games. The biggest issue with the game was the name of the game - Gorf - they should have come up with something more interesting.

Right now I have a cabaret Gorf in excellent original shape. It's not a bad game as a cabaret and it takes up a lot less space.

Good luck with the sale.

I've used all your pictures as the bar to go by in the restoration of my Gorf. Mine will be that nice one day I swear. Great job and beautiful game. I love all the lights.

Gorf hard? Try Gaplus then get say that. That was a beautiful restore and I am sad you are selling it. But I guess it means room for more Phetastic restore threads.

Jay Fenton and Jamie Fenton are both very sad.

Real nice machine Phet! You should have no issue selling it.

I can relate though, I too am considering selling or trading my restored Asteroids cabaret due to people not playing it because its too hard. : (
