Anyone interested in a working R-Type & possibly a Pole Position Cockpit in NorCal???

I am working a trade with someone and part of what I may be getting is a dedicated working R-Type. I have looked at it and it is in real nice shape. I have no interest in keeping the game for myself. See my signature for things I am looking for as a possible trade. I am also looking for and Amplifone tube with yoke and a working Omega Race board set.

I also may have a Pole Position cockpit that I may part with.

Shoot me a PM if you have an interest.

Hey bro, I'm actually interested in an R-Type. I have some games for sale in a FS thread but haven't had any luck and they're not in your wanted list.

Ha, this is funny...I am actually grabbing the R-type tomorrow (almost two years after starting this thread).

If anyone is interested in the R-type shoot me a PM and I'll give you some details after I get it home. I will be posting it up for sale soon.

Good memories of R-Type in an arcade in a back corner of Dadeland Mall in Miami, FL. Too bad I don't have a place to store it otherwise I'd consider taking it off your hands.

These people blow my mind...they have been trying to sell a R-type and a Pole Position for years now. When I first went to go look at them several years ago the Pole Position played fine but had a minor graphics glitch...the R-type displayed great but would not start a game. I made a low offer then and they turned it down. I contacted them recently (years later) and asked if they still wanted to sell them...they did. I asked them if they were still in the same condition as when I first played them years ago and they said yes. We agreed on a price (at my high end for these games). I showed up today after borrowing a friends trailer and asked to turn them on. R-type started to come up and then would not display. To me it looked like a board issue and not a monitor issue. The Pole Position developed more of a graphics issue and would only turn right...these were NOT the same as when I last played them. Fuck! I pointed out the new issues and offered an adjusted price...was told someone else was going to look at them later...right...and then said no to my offer. It was less than what they paid for them originally. Well sure...when you bought them they worked...now they don't. What a fucking waste of my time. I'll give these people some more years...the games will die and then they may come down in price. I guess I should look at it as free storage until I have more room for them.

Rant finished!

Some people are morons .

Just watch Pawn Stars....I like it when the Expert comes in and looks at their item and tells them what they have is not worth much money .

Then their response is... "Well , to me its worth a $1,000 , thats what I originally paid " ..............

And thats when they shake their hand and tell them , "Good Luck in finding someone to give you $1,000 , because we aren't , Bye Bye."
