Anyone install a 29" Makvision in a blitz or mortal kombat?

I wondering if the monitor will mount in the original brackets? Is there an adjustable mounting plate to add to the original mount to raise the bolt location for the top brackets?

I installed a 27" monitor in a MK but I had to alter the original mounting bracket on the inside of the cabinet. I drilled new holes for bolts on the bracket but did not have to alter any of the bolts securing the brackets to the cabinet. It was a tight fit so I am not sure that a 29" would fit.

I managed to get the 29" in the cab. I am hanging it from top bracket bolts and can see the too bolts need to be raised. Did you cut off the existing bolt then drill new holes??

By the way this 29" is damn heavy not sure I can get it onto the bottom bolts by myself.

No i did not have to cut the original bolts but i did have to rotate the brackets. I had to swap around the brackets to make it work and drill holes in the brackets for a new bolt.

The 29 in the blitz cabinet needs retrofitting...Deciding on if its worth the hassel... If anyone wants to buy this one let me know asap...there does not appear to be anymore available this one I have had about a week

Does anyone have pics of these?? There seems to be people that have them installed.. I would like to see a 27" or 29" in an MK cab. Also would like to see how you did the bezel and how it looks.. Thanks

I put a 27" Wells Gardner D9200 in a MKII cabinet. I had to modify the bracket mounts to get the 27" in there. I had cut off the posts, rotate the mounts and then drill new holes that lined up with the D9200 mounts. I then used a 27" bezel from Happ and then put tinted glass over it. The bezel is secured to the sides of the cab It came out great, wasn't too difficult to do other than that monitor is pretty heavy for 1 person to move around. You can see some pictures in this post, about half way down.

FYI, that 29" Mak is actually the same size as a 27" Wells. The screen dimensions are taken fron different points on the tubes (hence the 2" difference) but they are the same size so your really stuffing a 27" monitor into the game.

I used to do this at a distributor I worked at a few years ago. We had to use a different bezel and move the brackets out and backwards (does that make sense?).

thanks guys .... this was all set a few weeks ago...I forgot about this post :)
