Nearly always easier to repair an original than replace with something else.
Better fit, longevity, playing experience, etc...
Where exactly are you? Probably have a monitor guru pretty close to you.

i switch em out all the time. super easy. just make sure if the monitor needs an isolation transformer that you use an isolation transformer. besides that, just disconnect everything, remember where it goes and put the new one in. ideally you can swap out the whole thing (monitor, chassis, and metal frame) for a new one, but sometimes you have to use that same metal frame and that's where things can get a bit tricky. Can certainly be done. Obviously getting it fixed solves any issues with the new monitor not fitting or looking right and especially is an easier way to go if you have a unique setup.

I have the frame. Yes I could do it. Just don't know what I'm going to do with the other monitor.
