anyone here pulled apart a tron spinner and put it back together? mine isn't smooth

I have a spinner that I purchased on here several months back, and I just pulled it out of the box. It jumps a bit when spun hard. It isn't as flowing and smooth as the spinner on my current tron.

Now I have purchased a replacement spinner bushing. I am just curious if guys have taken this thing all the way apart and cleaned her up.

any insight?

Post some pictures, and I can probably make some good suggestions.

thanks for the offer, I am looking at the manual and it breaks down the parts and disassembly fairly well. I'm looking at the bushing and my sense is that the bushing isn't the problem. I may just have to take this bitch all of the way apart and clean her up.

Mine had 30 years of (hopefully pizza) grease and hair impacted in it. I took the whole CP apart, other than the grommet, when I refurb'd my CP. I don't recall cleaning the spinner shaft with anything, I just picked all the gunk off it and wiped it down. I put a few drops of the radio shack teflon lube on both the shaft and the larger metal bushing/shaft it fits in to. It spins fine, not as smooth as my other TRON, but I actually don't like it too loose. I think someone recommended white lithium grease, maybe that would make it as smoothe as you want. I don't think the small plastic end bushing could cause that much friction.

I updated this in my restore thread, but quick version.

I disassembled it, cleaned it, put a drop of oil in a strategic spot, no change.

Looked at it again and compared it to my current control panel and I saw a little disc installed next to the bushing. My only conclusion is that this disc was installed to slow the spinner down for some reason. removed and now the spinner flies!
