Anyone here knowledgable about 1974 Tank cocktail tables?

Just picked one up in a lot of games I bought this weekend (along with a Kozmik Krooz'r, woohoo!) and I'm curious to find out a bit more about it, in terms of its popularity and average value

This is the machine I'm referring to:

Not yet...I forgot to bring my camera with me to the warehouse when I bought everything, and my iPhone camera took a dirt nap after the last time I dropped it in the toilet :p

Its currently on a truck along with a Frogger cocktail, Tutankham, Kozmik and a Seesburg jukebox on its way to FL, so once I get it unl, oaded, I'll snap some pics. Its in decent shape, needs a little TLC but definitely not a full resto. Boardset even still works!

Here's a color pic, though if I'm not mistaken, mine is black...I think. Too much tequila this past weekend in NOLA to remember anything properly lol

I would say Tank is a solid B list Black and White title. Requiring multiple players means that it usually won't get much play.

The giant tank controls on top of the table make it hard to use the table part of the cocktail table formula, thus I would think an upright would be more desirable.

Value would likely be in the $100 to $300 range, depending of condition. Of course black and white games are weird, sometimes you can't give them away and other times some old guy has a fond memory of a title and they will get it shipped all the way across the country.

Aw, no photo is coming up!

Love Tank! I hope to find one in Colorado. A very fun multiplayer black and white that inspired many top down games after it.

I would say exidy's price guide for it is about right. Also, I agree with tbbk. I would expect more people would want the upright, but I don't discriminate between awesome things :)

The wife and I just redid our game room today and moved the pool table outside to the porch, and moved our old couch to the game room for lounging. So the Tank will be perfect to use as a coffee table in there :)

IMO, but you are wrong. Tank URs are more commonplace and boring looking. While I'm not a huge fan of cocktails in general, the circular Tank pink top cocktail is off the hook. Atari made black top and pink screened versions. I've seen the black version with greater frequency.

Here's my cocktail. I also have an UR. I wouldn't sell the cocktail.

Very nice Tank z3k3! I don't normally see Tank's with the bright graphics. I like these 70s cocktails too. I have two Bronze Age cocktails myself.

As I said previously, I don't have a preference between the form factor. They're all good to me!
