Anyone here just screw me out of the t2 pin in dallas

just wondering if it was anyone here who just screwed me. I was on my way there and get a call from the seller saying hes got a better offer now so i cant buy it anymore. I was paying his asking price and was on my way. why is there no honest people anymore.

sucks..but it happens. I blame the seller first though for not having honor to uphold the deal with you.

I've had that happen a few times. And two of the people that did it are regulars here on KLOV. No, I am not mentioning names.

T2 comes up for sale quite a bit. You will find another. I have been working on mine on and off for over a year. It was in a pizza place and was coated with grease.

The seller screwed you, not anyone else and unfortunately it happens ALL the time. Bummer man.

If it makes you feel better one of these two is probably the real deal:

1.) Seller wanted more money, was trying to scam you into topping an offer from a non-existent buyer.
2.) The other buyer was full of crap and will show up and try to haggle/low-ball.

Why? Because people are awesome.

Just wait for the "Latest pickup T2" thread. It's happened to me many times also. I almost got burned on my Tron, but luckily was able to still complete the deal thanks to Mongo.

Happens. I had this same thing happen atleast three times. I knew all three people that did it. No names, but you know who you are!

Funny thing is we told the seller that this has happened twice now and he promises not to do that. That he's a man of his word. Bullshit. He told me he got a higher offer. I drive to san Antonio once to get screwed because someone offered $100 more. I was not given the chance to match it. 13 hour drive for nothing. Drove to waxahachie only to get screwed when I got there. I did get a call from the buyer the next day asking if i wanted to buy it cause he felt guilty of what he did. Said I could have it for the $1000 that he paid but the game didn't work. Bullshit. If I sell a game for $500 and someone else offers $1000 I say sorry the game is sold.

Tried to sell some old pizza booths on CL, no takers on a whole set up for 50.00.

So.. I place it on there for free, calls through the roof, even including some $$$ if I hold it for them. A caller had already claimed it for free.

Said no, already spoken for and pulled the ad. A couple showed up and was grateful that I held it for them.

Honor? Nope, it is all about integrity.

Happens to me all the time but on the other end,I sale quit a bit on CL mostly cars but some vids. I have one listed right now and a guy was supposed to be here arond lunch but called and said he couldnt make it (very curtious by the way) I had other calls for the machine while waiting for him at lunch but told them it was pending sale and call back after 2:00. I told the guy this and he was very reseptive to the way CL works and said "first come first served" I have never sold an item to a diffrent person for more money.

I don't even bother contacting people on the super awesome deals anymore just because I know something similar will happen and I won't get it. Not worth the frusteration.

Wow, I would definitely be counting to 10 after driving that far and getting screwed ...

Ok well anyone who does this to someone else after a deal is done is a fu%&ING. Piece of shit.

Sorry that happened to you, man, but them's the breaks. It's a game, get over it. Another one will come along. Don't sweat it too much.

And for the record, the deal's not done until the tail lights are out of view. Until the money has changed hands and the merchandise is gone, it's anyone's game.

Call me what you will, but if I've got a verbal commitment to buy at $500 from someone on something I'm selling and someone else offers me $1000 cash on the spot, I'm selling it. Call me a douche, call me an a-hole, call me whatever you want, but don't call me $500 poorer.

I've been burned WAY more times by buyers telling me "I'll be right there to buy it" than I care to count. CL buyers have been known to flake out ALL the time. I've lived it, I've learned it. I've also been the buyer that's been told to 'turn around' because someone else got there first or offered more money. Sucks, but it's part of the game. Don't want to play? Then buy it on FeePay.

Money talks, bullshit walks.

Re:13 hour drive guy

Where are the klovawyers? I could have swore someone brought up a case where someone took a seller to court because of this exact situation (agreed to price and pick up, buyer gets there and is told he isn't gogoing to get to buy the item, seller is sued for gas and time wasted iirc). It was over chickens or something? It would be nice to know that guys that drive hours to get screwed had some sort of protection. Shrug
