So why you in the hobby? You dont play video games? :)

Its way past time for a Konami multi-board with prices like this. Even at a thousand bucks it would be a deal.

I was just looking for something like that for all of my Konami boards.

DAMN ... how did i miss this post?

thread was over at 10:33am this morning, and i didn't even know it.

+1

Sadly, that's the way things run here. Here on KLOV there are the cliques who will threaten to kill your children if you dare use a non-original screw on a monitor frame. There's the clique who thinks that prices should be exactly what they were 20 years ago and should NEVER change. There's the clique who wants to brag about their rare pieces and gets upset when more of those pieces show up and make them less valuable. There's the clique who only cares about making money and will fuck over whomever they can. There's the rich clique who are able to travel thousands of miles on a whim to pick up a rare cabinet and then put it in storage for years until they finish their 10,000 square foot basement, and all the while they can't comprehend why folks don't just go five states over to pick up a cabinet.

It's easier to just not respond to many of the threads where those cliques are getting into their middle-aged arcade gang battles. Heh.

i did that with a friend who was selling something and he asked me to outbid the guy so we could start a bidding war.

so i won the final bid and he sent second offer to the next in line guy and got more money and paid cheaper ebay fee since he started his item at 99 cents.

That's not a dick move at all.

I disagree I think that's a shady business practice. It's against eBay policy too. If caught you could have your account banned and money locked up by PayPal. Doesn't surprise me because of one year being in this hobby I have encountered more shady business practices than any other hobbies I have. Home theater and cars

I was being sarcastic. It was very much a dick move.

nope its not arcade related sorry to burst your bubble ;)

and it was under 20$

i had to multi quote because i guess some people have issue reading.

start with the top and move down.

Thanks, I have an original Turtles cabinet with the original Turtles game it's going into, so I'll have both in there, thinking of converting the cab to stereo as well and install two speakers to be able to get stereo. Just hate the fact I have to drill into the original cab to make holes for the sound to come out.

I did this exact same thing. Wasn't thrilled about the whole drilling into the cabinet part either, but the end result turned out pretty nice. I didn't "convert" it to stereo however, I left the original mono speaker in there and TMNT runs off that, added the 2 stereo speakers and TIT runs off that.

Arcade stuff or not, low or high dollar item, shill bidding is ALWAYS a dick move.

I worked in the auction industry for over 25 years.
There is a reason why this is against eBays policies.
Its not only because its unethical, it also illegal on a Federal level and is covered under the various anti trust acts and uniform commercial code.

Oh nooooooo!!! Good thing for Ebays "bid with confidence" policy. Hopefully the seller isn't being a complete douche about it. Then again, they sold you a broken board.

Well guys nobody missed anything. I received the Turtles in Time today and it's faulty. Plugged it in and got a black screen. Moved the PCB and started working left it on attract mode 6 min later I look at the screen it's black. Monitor and everything still running. Unplug it for 5 min plug it back in boots up. 5 min later on attract loose picture. Back it's going

Might have been one of my old ones. I used to pile up boards like these for stairs to reach up to where I stored the good games.

Ugh, this thread is utterly depressing. Sfernandes I am sorry you have had such a negative experience on here. I am sure it's tough selling from Canada given their postal costs. As per your observation, that everyone wants to buy low and sell high, it's true for a bulk of folks on here and in sales in general.

I just recommend building a good network of buddies, as that is really the only consistent way to get good deals. I feel pretty fortunate as we have a strong and awesome local community where I am.
