The Twin Galaxies world record on Ikari Warriors is 1,414,500 set in 1987 by Walt Price. Second place is 1,350,800 set in 2005 by David Nelson. My top score is 1,532,300. Unfortunately, this is not technically an unofficial world record, because my friend Corey has a score of 1,571,100 on the same machine, so his unofficial world record beats my unofficial world record. I could match or beat Corey's score if I could get a really good game going (when it comes to point-pressing on that game, sometimes the opportunities are there and sometimes they aren't).
I'd actually like to see Corey have the official TG record on that game though, because that's always been his game, going back to 1987 when we were 12 years old and played it down at the local laundromat. It was the only arcade game that he ever took an interest in and got good at.
I had the unofficial record on Super Punch-Out for a long time before I actually made the effort to tape a game and submit it to TG, thus making it official.
BTW, Corey also has the unofficial world record on Heavy Barrel. The official TG record is 1,494,500 set by David Nelson in 2006. Corey's score is 1,505,600, and he accomplished that within several days of starting from scratch on the game (his Ikari Warriors skills obviously helped a lot).
