Anyone headed to the AGS Auction in Kingsport May 7th?

I'm headed over with a buddy of mine. This will be my first game auction. I don't expect to go crazy, but it would be nice to snag a game on my wishlist if any happen to be there.

Any tips for this auction for a total noob?

I will be there!!! Good to hear you are going, this is how the auction madness starts with the first auction.
My first auction was around nine years ago and I have been to eighty-six game auctions to date.
Remember, when you walk in to the auction area it is like Christmas..... Hope to see you there.......

Here's some advice-

If the bid keeps climbing, but you haven't actually SEEN anyone bid, DON'T jump in.

Thanks for the tip. Care to elaborate on this a little bit more? When this happens, what exactly is going on?

That means the auctioneer is trying to BS a potenetial bidder into thinking someone has already bid on the item.

Anyway, I plan on making it. I'll be the first one this year for me. The 6 auctions I made last year took a toll:)
