looking for a working 6 player x-men pcb. In particular sound must work. I have lots of boards from games around that time period, including for example a 4 player x-men board.
If you are interested in a trade let me know, Ill go make a list of all the boards I have.

located in philadelphia PA area, but I dont mind paying for shipping from elsewhere.

thx!!

Are they the same boards? Maybe a ROM swap? I guess it would depend if it had hookups for the other players on the PCB.

the 4 player and the 6 player cant be swapped as far as I know, the 4 player board physically has two less places to plug in player harnesses than the 6 player.

I got the 4 player back when I was expecting to do a conversion from another 4 player game I had, but Ive since abandoned that idea. Its 6 player or bust!

i have a fully working 6 player board that doesn't have the sound chip (i bought it that way)...not sure if you could use the chip from the 4 player and install it on the 6 player board

I can confirm, PCB works 100% except missing sound chip. 4-player sound chip is the same far as I know.

hmm, thats an interesting option I never thought of. The truth is though, Im not sure I would be able to switch out the two chips. I looked at my 4 player one and the legs are REALLY small and close to each other. Ive capped a monitor and did a little repair work to a remote pot board, but this is probably beyond my current skill level. I wouldnt mind trying if it werent likely Id ruin both boards.

:(

A little trick from my xbox modding days. Use one of those heat guns to desolder stuff, can be used to resolder also. That's a good way to hit many pins at once.
