I need the IC from my Bally MPU AS-2518-35, for U17. It is listed as 74LS00 on a component layout. Mouser has some IC's that would match, but I dont know which one will work. The legs broke off of the one i have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

74LS00 is a common part. Lots of folks make them, and they are available in a few packages. From Mouser, you want part number 595-SN74LS00N

Ahh the quad 2-input NAND gate. A staple of pinball circuit design. HCT is also compatible with TTL so you could use a 74HCT00. That's what I use in my Bally/Stern MPU test boards.

If you have an electronics store locally you can probably find one there too. It's one of the most common logic ICs. If you're ordering be sure you get it in a DIP package. Easy enough to order SOIC by mistake.

Awesome, thanks guys. I don't think there are any electronic stores around me that sell this type of stuff...only radio snatch. I'll order a couple from mouser, i need some other stuff anyway. This Mr & Mrs Pacman machine is a nightmare that I will not wake up from. Thanks again.
