Anyone have experience with the 1300+ in 1 KE Jamma board?

So far, I love my NeoGeo Multi cart and I like the 60in1(a) board. So the 1300+ killer edition is over $300 and has a ton of stuff on it. Does it do the trick? Is is worth it? For that price, it seems like a MAME setup without all of the fuss. Anyone out there have a hand-on review?

i've had mine for almost 2 yrs now. had the SE version at 1st but the HD died a few months back so i upgraded to the KE edition. waiting for my newest upgrade to come in from the land down under which will give me the daphne games....space ace and such.

anyway..... all these are really is a plug and play mame set-up. but there is the key....plug-n-play. there are alot of duplicate games for sure. but, if your into fighting games like SF and such then it's a great system. sounds are a bit off on some games but that's normal. alot of odd title's and a tons of shooter and beat'm up games.

upgraded 2.8 processor is a must. i fully recommend 1 of these if space is an issue. i just installed a trackball and a top fire joystick so i could play games like battlezone, tron and disks of tron. still a work in progress with the control panel though.

plus, there's this web site that's dedicated to these..... super helpfull guys there!!

So it's really plug and play? You dont have to do any weird modifications to the jamma harness?

Daphne is an option on these? Is it a hard drive upgrade or something?

it's not really an upgrade persay. i'm just gettn a copy of another's hard drive. i'm not really tech savy to give any real details so just go to the link below and look around and read up. 98% of the stuff they ramble on about goes right over my head.....lol.... but alot of good info there.

I picked one up from our own armi0024. My situation is that I can't have a room full of cabs. I did a ton of reading to see what I wanted do, mainly comparing these multiboards to a MAME computer. In the end, I did not want to spend the time setting up a MAME computer. I mounted the 1315-1 in my SF2 CE cab and will have to do something to secure the CPU power supply. To get all 6 buttons to work for each player, I had to add button 4 on the actual JAMMA harness (in an unused slot) and then buttons 5 and 6 can connect directly to the 1315-1 board. In the end, it's a blast to play. Can I tell if they are "arcade perfect" - not really, I'm not that observant to the details, but the speed of play is fine and the fighting games I've played are responsive. Also, make sure you get a 2.8 GHz processor. You will definitely see a difference. On a side note, armi0024 was very helpful when I needed to troubleshoot some problems.

I installed one of these in a cab yesterday and ended up securing it to the mounting board with zip ties and wood screws, thing was mounted solidly when I was done.
