Just thought I would check or maybe even a few complete (honestly) :) unknown condition Pcb's. Mines on the blink.....Thankyou.....Dave

It was working great accept the steering was sometimes funky and i traced it to a bad edge connector. So I let it sit a few months got a new edge connector and contacts from Bob roberts plugged it in last night which was about 3 months later and some of the letters/numbers were wrong and a few track edge dots missplaced. Well I chalked it up to a worn out edge connector. So i replaced the edge connector and all the contacts plugged it in and it did the exact same thing."SHIT" I thought. So I was thinking befor I send it back to Alex for repair I would reseat the main big large chip and a little one that had a socket because i would hate to send it back and have it be something stupid like that. So I reseat them plug it in and "Crap" now its worse. Cars are running into each other by themselves and theres lots of letters and numbers on the screen but you can see the cars trying to go around the track. I did check the 2 chips I reseated and none had had any bent legs and all werer intact tried it again ,same thing.....So thats where I'm at. Alex fixed it a year ago and it has worked great I think my biggest mistake was letting it sit 3 months (never again will I let a game sit that long) Then again my Space Invaders has been problem free 8 years straight :)

Hey Dave, I have some of the parts to rebuild my boards and I should get the rest of the parts today. I'll let you know when I am ready to try again...

BTW, the large socket that the processor is in can be replaced with a normal socket. The board is already perforated and ready to accept the smaller socket.
