Just ordered a 4X, hoping it will do 2532A. For some reason my pocket programmer refuses to do 2532A but does 2532 just fine.
Can anyone verify if it will do 2532 and 2532A.

I had a batch of 2523A's that my Pocket Programmer wouldn't program....I accidently set it at "regular" 2532....the A's programed fine. I'd try one and see what happens.

Thats interesting, I will give it a try on one. I have a good amount of NOS 2532A and would like to use them.
Have you erased them and verified that they will reprogram after being programmed on the wrong setting?
Also sometime recently my pocket programmer decided it no longer wants to write 27256. I even tried flashing back to an old bios and software but still no go.

I haven't tried erasing them and reprogramming....I'm betting once they're programmed at the "wrong" voltage.....they are now one-time-only use.

You know, my PP 3 started acting up several months ago. Sometimes it won't verify worth a damn. I can stick a good working EPROM in it, move it to buffer, and it's wrong. In fact, if I continually hit "move to buffer".....I will get a different checksum (and different code) every time.

Other times when I program an EPROM....it will checksum fine, but put corrupt code into the chip. I've been meaning to call them.....I only got about a year out of this before it started acting up....and it's not like it sees a ton of use.

I got the Willem in today and gave it a try. It programs the 2532A and 27256 just fine. Not a bad programmer for 100 bucks.
