I would think it would be pretty cool, especially if you can put it in a Vewlix cab, but personally, I see no point in dropping that much coin on it unless you've got it on route, or in an arcade.

I would also generally think this is not the type of crowd for arcade gear made much after 1990, but two years ago I also never thought anyone here would want to own a candy cab. :p Demo must be gettin' younger.

I wonder what would prevent someone getting a disk image of one of these systems and building a knockoff since they are pretty much just a PC.

I don't know anything about the details of the X2 system, but I'd imagine there's probably lots of security measures on it.

What's the point since SF4 is on PS3, XBOX, and PC for 40-60 bucks?

Yeah its just a PC, with an embedded version of XP or something like that. It does have some nice games for it, but with the games coming out on PS3 and XBOX 360, I say just buy those and get some nice arcade sticks and your good to go. Hell if you get a cab just wire a console in there and play.

I could see getting the hardware in a few years when it becomes a little more affordable.

Hell, you could build a nice PC, drop it in a cab and run PC based software that has graphics and sound easily as nice as that box for THOUSANDS less...

yup i play sf4 on my mame rig no point in spending 3000 on a x2 board but man i really want blue blaze its sposed to be freaking sweet and the kof games dont sound bad either
