Anyone have a maverick?

Alright. Has a cute little paddleboat wheel that moves the ball up to lock. You basically hit targets to get card hands. Nothing super special or super lame. I'm not a big fan of brown, myself...

forgot there was the famous ford maverick,i know of one for sale, but its sounding like a dud.

If it works, looks good, and was under $500, I'd get it (well not really as I'm not into pinball). If it's expensive, then I'd pass....

Guy I bought a fews pins off had one for sale and he straight out told me that it was a crappy game. He has VERY expensive taste though haha. Haven't played it myself, but all pins are fun really. That's my 2 cents..

Read some of the ipdb reviews...

For example:
Probably one of the worst games DataEast made. There is absolutely nothing in this game that relates to the movie. The movie had everything; great lines, great music, great actors. This game lacks everything..

IPDB says twilight zone is #1 ,not in my opinion, everyone has their flavor.I have played TZ a bunch of times and just dont see it.i like to play a game and form my own opinion, but this game is not set up and working,so i wont know until i buy it and fix it.

is this on craigslist? if so, what's the asking price?

i love the movie, but have never played the pin....if one came up near me, i'd definitely have to give it a look.

I was on the fence on getting one a while back, but the display was 'fuzzy'. After reading up on the display issue and finding out how much that super size display was, I backed away quite quickly.

FYI, that display is $400...if you can find one.

Ya! Terry over at pinball life sells those large sega displays for $399... OUCH!!

I had a Mary Shelley's Frankenstein that i bought in mint condition and would have never even thought about it if the large double display didnt work perfect... which it did so i ended up scoring it for a good deal.

I've played Maverick once, seemed decent.... But again pinball really comes down to personal preference.

its not on cl,but asking price is 650 and the display is out, thought about going with my meter in hand and checking, but the seller is a little quircky, and often wants to sell without setting up the machine.so it could just be a conn or power issue which would be cheap and easy for me to fix,but if its the whole display im f--ked.iam not a gambling man,so i passed.kind of ironic, being that its a gambling pin.

The display for the data east maverick pinball is a 192x64 which is much larger than the
"normal" dot matrix display and sells for 425.00.
That machine was on craigslist about a week and a half ago,the guy listed it for 25.00
at first,no joke. a friend of mine called him and he said that he didn't think it was worth much because the display was bad but some of his friends told him he was crazy for selling it so cheap so naturally the price went up.I have played one in the past and gameplay was not
what i would call astounding in my opinion.
