Anyone have a Centipede cabaret that's converted or gutted?

Yeah, easy to cut the parts and assemble if you have a CNC. I did all mine with a hand router using an original Centipede cabaret as a template. Then I had to measure the old one to try and get all the parts in the right place. I didn't discover the plans online till I was long done with my first cabaret scratch build. The online plans are for the Tempest cabaret, which does have a few differences, mainly the entire roof piece with the vent holes cut in. It still works great and most people will never know the difference. I love your 720 cabaret, interesting that you chose the woodgrain over going silver vinyl with custom-sized 720 side art.
In my arcade room, there isn't much space so my cabs are packed in there side to side so I realized that nobody will ever see the sideart. Being in California, I always get jealous of your expansive basement/game rooms.

For me, it was cheaper and quicker to just stain and poly the sides instead of ordering the custom side art. I just discovered Rubio Monocoat and its derivatives and its really easy to put on and looks better than anything I used to stain with other stuff. I have thought of going with silver T molding recently but been busy trying to put together a Paperboy. Man, real controllers are impossible to get!

It wasn't always that way. I bought my first Paperboy in 2008 for $250, restored it, and sold it for $575 by 2010.

Now you can't get just the controller for less than $600. I would love to see a Paperboy cabaret. In fact, five years ago, I asked the community what Atari titles should've been put in the Atari cabaret cabinet. I didn't get a lot of response (or at least not as much as I had hoped for). I started with Kangaroo, then Crystal Castles, then Arabian, then I built a custom Dig Dug with full side art based on the upright. I had planned on doing a Skull n Crossbones, a Food Fight and a Tetris in this cabinet, but realized after the CC that doing the horizontal orientation games in this cabinet is a little more challenging and shelved the idea. I was hoping for other suggestions but never really got any. Good to see that other people are taking this concept and running with it.

Those are really nice! What are you guys doing for the control panels, are they old originals?
Takeman did a couple of runs of them. Tempest, Centipede, Dig Dug and a blank one. All laser cut and powder coated. I used them for all my custom builds. I've still got 4 on the shelf for future projects. Posting a want to buy thread will shake one loose.
