Do you like it, does it get old? I don't hear much about this one, so if you have one or have played one, please comment on it. Thanks gents.

I have one and I love it.

The game is kind of a one ramp wonder at times, but the side drop targets, the multiball modes, and the millions timer are all great. It's a shooter's game as it will punish you for being reckless with the ball. Ball times are fairly short, but the action is fast and if you're good at ball control you can dominate other players in the game. I love that the loop to loop scoring has its own high score table as well.

I've had one since about 1992 and it's probably not ever going anywhere. I keep it at my parent's house but I never go over there without playing it for a while. The theme is excellent, especially the voice acting and music. The art is great too.

I believe Lindsey has one and likes it, but it's his wife that really adores the machine.

There is a nice one 5 miles from me and dude may be selling soon. Just wanted to know if it was worth getting and what I should offer. Nice working shape, probably not shopped.

Price varies. I see them go anywhere from the $500-$600 range up to around $1000 if they're nice. I'd say $800 or $900 is probably fair if you're not looking at a dirty machine and it doesn't have significant wear. Don't pay that much for anything with cosmetic issues though.

The game is a total cakewalk to maintain as well.

I offered him 5 bills. Thanks Jar.

HAHA! This is true! I don't think I have a single score on the high score board. She started using Apu as the initials after a while because there was no competition. I wish I could say that's the only game...

It's a great game. $500 would be an absolute steal if it's working and in half decent condition (IMO). Where I live it's a $1200 game pretty easily. I wouldn't sell mine for that and it's kind of beat. Not that it's necessarily worth more... I just like it that much.

I've seen a few of them and the typical things I've seen are flaking cabinet paint and wear in non-mylared areas on the playfield. The powder coating on the wire forms also gets chipped from ball impacts. Then there are the typical DE things like burnt GI connectors, etc... The ramp is another potential problem but I actually haven't seen any in terrible shape. I have a spare complete ramp. It's the biggest continuous ramp I've ever seen so I jumped on a spare when I found one.

I find that the flippers are almost a little too strong on mine. It's a catch 22 because they need to be strong to make the ramp shot but mine destroys targets. I've broken more targets on that game than any other by far.

Cool, thanks for the insight. I just can't believe the bitch is sitting 5 miles from my house.

I agree with the flipper power. Lots of airballs smacking the glass when you're shooting the bowling pin drop targets. At least you rarely get a ball struggling to make it up the ramp though and you can make the shot with either flipper.

There is one in SoCal on ebay right now for $1200. It looks pretty nice, but is missing the Nuclear Towers (or whatever they are called). Are parts pretty easy to find for these?

That guy has been trying to get rid of that DE Simpsons pin for months.

You should be able to strike a quick cash deal.

Good luck Phet - post pics if you win it.

How's the Berzerk looking now?

I would say it's an OK game. I had one awhile back, and sold it. It's not very deep, and hearing the same quotes get old. The ramp shot is cool though, and the machine can be brutally tough at times. I also agree with the other about the flippers being strong. Hitting the drop targets often resulted in the ball smacking the glass.

Who would you recommend to powder coat the Simpsons wire forms ?, I have had mine stripped just trying to decide on weather to spray bomb them myself or send them off to a reputable powder coating / plating shop

Any reccomendations ?
