July 24th.

I'm planning to go and check it out. May not end up buying anything, but I haven't been to a good auction for awhile now. That last compton auction blew some mighty big chunks. Post if you're thinking of attending. I'm not sure if anyone can sell items at captains auctions or not.

And yes, I know the captains auctions are notoriously known for shill bidding. I plan to check it out anyways.

There are probably some deals to be had there. It all depends on what you are looking for....

At least you can play the games for free for two hours before the auction starts....

I sent an email asking for a partial list of games to be put up for auction saturday. Hopefully, they'll send me something.

I'm going again. I went last time... was great and not as many people as I thought there would be. Kind of hoping for the same so I can grab a couple of things. Last time, a guy went home with Two cool Cobra The Arcade shooters for $400. In fantastic condition! Kind of bummed out now that I think about it... maybe I should of gotten one of them.

Three classics, all in terrible shape: Ms. Pac, Ms pac in a super pac cab and an asteroids deluxe. All sold for under little $$$.

Anyone know what the Arctic Thunder sold for? I made it through the first Marvel vs Capcom 2 machine and then left.

This auction house is about an 8-minute drive from me, but I've still only been once. (Had other committments today.)

The one time I went, the only unspoiled classic was a extremely dirty but complete Carnival.

I've called them before to get advice on repairs; the guy who answered was super cool.

BTW, if no one got the Ms. Pac in the Super Pac cab, not to worry: I think someone's selling the same conversion on the local CL. Only $1500!

I was there the entire time and to tell you the truth I don't remember how much it went for. The two Chris' and I were definitely having a good time looking at that chick though in her high heels and openess. Was funny to see the bf drag her around the place.

Lucky seats!

I think it sold for 800something. There was also a fully working/ok condition scramble cocktail (sold for $75), and a glitchy missile command cocktail.

I think I remember who you mean :p

Auction was OK. Not much for collectors, but lots of fighting, sports, gun, and drivers. 100 times better than the last superauction.

I played the scramble. It was missing the top glass and it also crapped out after playing for a while. It would have been a good candidate for a multigame.

It may have crapped out on you because the door would get pushed open by the power security switch.

No, the game itself crapped out after the 3rd level. There was a board issue or a power supply problem. For $75 that was not a bad deal though.
